Summary

This position requires a detail-oriented individual who works well with others.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read drawings and follow written instructions, including manuals, standard practices, and work instructions.
  • Stamp, serialize, and date stamp vital information (part number, date of vest manufacture, serial number).
  • Utilize reference tools such as on-the-job training and prints.
  • Learn to operate various machines used in vest production, including vacuum pack machines, index/test machines, sewing machines, heat seal machines, and other equipment.
  • Fold and pack vests.
  • Complete detailed paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain good communication skills.
  • Work safely, maintaining a clean and organized work area.

    Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective communication skills for speaking before small groups.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Reasoning Ability

    Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions. Handle problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
