Safety Coordinator

• responsible for daily tasks associated with the safety department.
• maintain safety logs and training files.
• assist with safety training for new hires and current employees.
• maintain and update all sds books and chemical list.
• assist in incident investigations.
• provide leadership and direction regarding safety policies and procedures.
• conduct all daily, weekly, monthly and annual safety inspections.
• cross train in all areas in the department.
• all other relevant duties to the job.

• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• bilingual spanish/english languages preferred.
• technically proficient with technology and usage of computers and software.
• some college or technical training preferred.

• typical office environment within a manufacturing plant utilizing computers, telephones and other office equipment.
• frequently sit for long periods.
• occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• may be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), co2, and moving production lines.
• may be exposed to damp, wet, and cold environments.
• work around live and/or raw animal odors.
