Parts Specialist

The Parts Specialist provides high-level service to all retail and installer customers and assists store management with assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Follow and promote company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.
• Greet retail/walk-in customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in servicing professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, including answering calls per company policy, looking up parts and quotes, recommending items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning, etc.
• Perform daily operational tasks such as preparing returns to be shipped to the distribution center, assist with monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and company requirements are met.
• Perform in-store services for customers where permitted by state and local laws (e.g., install wipers, test and charge batteries, test charging system, scan vehicle trouble codes, replace headlight capsules).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate (driving record must meet company eligibility requirements).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service; ability to multitask in store and on the phone.
• Desired:
  Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
