• Provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, at meals, during recreation, on work assignments, and during all other phases of activity in a correctional facility.
• Employ weapons or force as necessary to maintain discipline and order.
• Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
• Work any shift; may be assigned to armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.

• Have a high school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Can demonstrate the ability to complete any required training.
• Are available to work any hours, any shift.
• Are at least 21 years of age.
• Veterans encouraged to apply; military service recognized for positions requiring criminal justice experience.
