BMS Technician

Metro Building Services is seeking a skilled BMS Technician to join our team in Bolton, MS
. This role is responsible for the installation, retrofit, and ongoing service of building automation systems for our commercial customers. We’re looking for a dependable professional with strong technical expertise and a customer-first mindset.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with building management systems (BMS), building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or a closely related field.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and associated control systems.
• Experience troubleshooting building automation systems, including sensors, actuators, controllers, control wiring, and communication networks.
• Familiarity with building automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or Lon Works.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and system documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technicians, project managers, and other trades.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including accessing mechanical rooms, climbing ladders, and working in commercial building environments.

• Experience with building automation platforms such as Automated Logic, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, or Schneider Electric.
• Experience with direct digital controls (DDC), system programming, graphics development, startup, and commissioning.
• Technical training or certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, controls, or building automation.
