The Senior Engineer – Dev Ops & Platform Engineering is responsible for designing, building and evolving the engineering platforms, automation frameworks and operational tooling that underpin the Equities Trading Technology ecosystem. The role serves as the technical lead for Dev Ops practices within the domain, enabling software engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure and resilient solutions through automation, standardisation and platform engineering principles.

Working across development, testing and operational teams, the Senior Engineer establishes consistent deployment patterns, infrastructure automation, observability capabilities and engineering standards that improve delivery quality, operational resilience and developer productivity. This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on platform enablement rather than infrastructure administration.

The Equities Trading Technology team delivers trusted, highly resilient platforms supporting Australia's cash equities and options markets. Working alongside Software Engineers, Principal Engineers, Product Owners, Architecture, Cyber Security and Production Assurance teams, the Dev Ops Lead enables modern engineering practices and platform capabilities that support ASX's strategic technology objectives.

To establish and continuously improve Dev Ops, Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering capabilities that:

• Accelerate software delivery through automation.
• Improve reliability and operational resilience.
• Reduce operational risk through standardised engineering practices.
• Enhance platform observability and operational insight.
• Enable engineering teams through reusable tooling and self-service capabilities.
• Support safe, controlled and auditable delivery of change.

• Act as the technical lead for Dev Ops and Platform Engineering within Equities Trading Technology.
• Define domain engineering standards, tooling strategies and automation roadmaps.
• Promote platform engineering principles that enhance developer experience and self-service delivery.
• Partner with Principal Engineers and Architecture teams to align platform capabilities with strategic technology objectives.

• Design, implement and maintain modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
