GPS​/GRADE SETTER

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Utilize GPS systems and traditional means to set grade and conduct construction layout on highways, parking lots and civil sitework projects.
• Must be willing to do manual labor.
• Read, understand and verify survey stakes to determine grade specifications.
• Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires bending, kneeling, climbing, walking and twisting.
• Aptitude for math and problem solving.
• 2 years working in civil construction including earthwork, paving and concrete preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and verify construction plans a bonus.
• Troubleshoot situations and solve problems (material quality/quantity, GPS equipment operation/repair, etc.).
• Willingness to learn equipment operation and other aspects of construction.
