This established hospital provides comprehensive cardiac care services to the Missoula community. The facility features a 29-bed department with modern equipment and supportive staff, creating an excellent practice environment for cardiology specialists.

Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology

Job Details:

• Locum tenens coverage until permanent provider(s) hired, ideally 1-3 providers covering 3 weeks per month
• Schedule typically involves 7-day stretches including mixture of clinic and call duties
• Work in both hospital and clinic settings based on greatest need
• Handle 9-12 patient encounters per shift in clinic (8am-4pm)
• Read approximately 10 echocardiograms during clinic days
• Outpatient echo reader responsibilities (approximately 25 echos on designated days)
• Weekend call is 24-hour (7am-7am), primarily phone calls with rare in-person visits
• Responsibilities include inpatient rounds/consults and incoming referral line phone calls
• Overtime available for clinical hours exceeding 40 per week
• Must be board certified in cardiology
• ACLS certification required
• Experience with outpatient and inpatient cardiology required
• ICU experience required
• Non-invasive cardiology skills preferred, including echocardiography and TEE
• Must have active Montana license or IMLC
• 90-day credentialing timeframe
• Accommodations available in hospital-owned condo one block from facility

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
