Fort Peck Community College (FPCC) serves the people of the Fort Peck Reservation and Northeast Montana by providing quality academic, vocational, and community-based programs to improve the employability and efficiency of students. FPCC empowers students so that they are the next generation of workers, leaders and citizens while preserving and promoting Assiniboine and Sioux Culture.
MCNCE VISTA Natural Resource Curriculum Developer is a program that moves the FPCC environmental science program into a broader natural resource management program. The project will build capacity for FPCC to provide more effective education and training, allowing graduates to possess a broader range of skills that meet the needs of employers in wildlife conservation, water quality, climate resiliency, and food sovereignty.
MemberDuties
The VISTA member will assess interests and build place‑based engaging educational materials to train students to meet those needs. The member will build the capacity of FPCC’s Environmental Science program to provide more effective education and training to better serve a broader population of students in Natural Resource Management.
