Tolling Market Lead

The Tolling Market Lead will partner with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies worldwide. You will champion the identification and development of projects and programs for toll facility clients across HDR’s 36 operating areas and enhance HDR’s suite of toll industry services for existing and future clients.

Services
  • AET conversions for existing facilities
  • Planning and Design services for systems including technology, payment methods, and advisory services
  • Mobility and operational technology services: ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development and operations, managed lanes, ZEM, and OT cybersecurity
  • Advisory services: asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding and finance
Responsibilities
  • Research and share knowledge of trends and drivers within the tolling market
  • Support identification, pursuit, and delivery of tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services
  • Develop client relationships with toll agencies and authorities, collaborating with local area teams and market sector teams
  • Help evaluate and prioritize investments to capture tolling client opportunities across regions
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE (Preferred)
  • Recognized leader in the Toll Roads/Toll Facilities space
  • Proven ability to set strategy and execute growth of a practice, ideally in the tolling market
  • Established relationships with major toll clients and DOTs
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
  • Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, or planning services
  • Experience building and maintaining a wide range of client relationships and pursuing programs and projects
  • Experience in staff development, including recruiting, career pathing, and professional growth
  • Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible market sector profile
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Directors, Managers, and other business group leaders
  • Commitment to HDR values and a collaborative, employee‑owned culture
