Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking an EMT to support nursing personnel in providing patient care. Your duties will include patient care tasks, clerical functions such as transcription of orders, computer data entry, maintaining patient activity records, answering telephones, and unit reception.

The EMT performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. The EMT supports nursing personnel in providing nursing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for nursing care delivery. The EMT also performs clerical functions including transcription of orders, computer data entry, maintenance of patient activities for the records, telephone answering, and unit reception.

• Upon hire:
  Montana Emergency Medical Technician Basic License, or
• Montana Emergency Medical Technician License, or
• Montana Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate License, or
• Montana Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License, or
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification
• Successful completion of an orientation program or equivalent experience

• Experience in a hospital or patient care setting

Schedule: Part‑time, Day shift

Compensation: $16.50 – $22.46 per hour (base pay). Shift differentials, overtime, standby/on‑call, and other incentives may apply.
