Position Overview
Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking an attorney with at least five years of transactional experience, public finance preferred, to join the Public Finance group in our Missoula office. The attorney will contribute to a vibrant and varied Montana practice by working on all phases of public finance transactions, advising clients on state and local matters, and providing guidance on federal and state tax law issues.
A desire to travel throughout the state for public speaking and networking opportunities is important. The role will provide critical bond counsel support on governmental and economic development financings and will offer the opportunity to take on and develop private activity transactions, including health care, exempt facilities, housing, and other special purpose transactions. Candidates will be considered for a partner‑track associate or income partner role depending on experience.
- A JD degree from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Montana bar admission or the ability to become admitted in Montana
- At least five years of relevant experience
