Equipment Owner III
The Equipment Owner III is responsible for the assigned lines overall results including Safety, Food Safety & Quality, Cost, Productivity and Engagement (Line Scorecard). As part of the Production Leadership team, the candidate will assist the line trio to deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Production and Engagement results.
Responsibilities- Ensure all associates follow safety and food safety and quality standards.
- Ensure all quality checks are completed properly and on time.
- Document and update production reports.
- Ensure necessary materials and supplies are in place before and during production run.
- Ensure the production schedule is completed in the most cost‑efficient way.
- Communicate issues throughout the shift and contribute to solutions.
- Manage startup, change‑over and shutdown events.
- Analyze line data and work with the line trio and production leaders to prioritize gaps, trends and loss elimination.
- Operate machinery as necessary while maintaining line performance.
- Execute the AM systems on assigned AM models.
- Troubleshoot equipment and make proper adjustments.
- Inspect equipment and complete minor repairs.
- Implement operation standards and ensure Associates understand and follow them.
- Follow Standard work, 6S and Quick changeover standards.
- Support AM implementation and develop equipment owner capabilities.
- Coach and provide feedback to equipment owners and production associates.
- Monitor line productivity metrics and product quality.
- Participate in Kaizen events and sustain cost‑saving opportunities.
- High school diploma or GED preferable; or 3 to 5 years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, E‑mail and simple database applications (i.e. SAP and QDMS).
- Demonstrated leadership skills and LOTO certification on all machines in the department.
- Proficient in performance of all Production Positions.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime when required.
- Physical requirements:
constant walking, standing on hard concrete surface; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling; occasional lifting and ladder climbing; periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs (10‑25 lbs – boxes, scrap bins, garbage bins). - Ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement, and Temporary teams as assigned.
