• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. The position assists customers, cleans display cases and shelves, and maintains self‑serve displays. The role requires a variety of hours including nights and weekends, and involves heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical of a fast‑paced grocery store. Essential functions include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
