Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted member of the team providing tax, accounting and advisory services to middle‑market business clients.
- Oversee and provide services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financials.
- Review and analyze accounting records and reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with client to discuss accounting and business matters.
- Deliver best‑in‑class customer service to clients at all times, with an emphasis on being responsive, timely, professional, and accurate.
- Lead and plan client engagements, and continuously evaluate processes and procedures within the client services and implementation functions with emphasis on implementing efficiencies and identification of internal control issues.
- Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client’s operations, processes, and business objectives.
- Manage and build client relationships, act as liaison to address and resolve client issues, and assist team leaders in researching and providing additional services to clients.
- Effectively delegate and oversee work efforts by setting goals, providing resources, removing obstacles, and scheduling deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery.
- Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.
- Invest in professional development individually and through participation in firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; master’s or advanced degree desirable.
- CPA, EA, or JD required.
- Five (5)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting, and advisory services in a professional services firm.
- Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and quality.
- Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
Compensation range: $91,220 to $172,950. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
