The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for financial reporting, general accounting activity related to the month‑end closing process, variance analysis, annual audit, and related duties as assigned.

• Prepare and post accurate revenue and other assigned journal entries in a timely manner for assigned accounts/functions, including accrual estimates
• Timely analyze accounts and activity to ensure that all material entries are booked timely and correctly, including financing and related interest calculations
• Complete required tasks to fulfill the month‑end close by the 5th business day
• Generate monthly reports for executive deliverables
• Review and ensure consistency of data between source/subsidiary systems not integrated with general ledger software (e.g., customer billing and fleet management)
• Communicate and interact with operations to ensure timely information and data flow in support of a timely close
• Complete account reconciliations in a timely manner following the monthly close and make related adjusting entries as needed
• Look for process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to management
• Maintain process policies and procedures to prevent inaccuracies
• Work with the finance team to answer questions related to journal entries
• Assist repair shops with parts inventory analysis
• Mentor, train and develop staff accountants
• Provide supporting schedules and information needed for the annual financial audit
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any other related field
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Experience working in public accounting

Salary: $91,000.00 – $/year
