Cost Accountant

Job Responsibilities

• Perform month‑end closing processes and prepare journal entries for inventory, cost of goods sold, and fixed assets.
• Reconcile accounts related to inventory, cost of sales, and the general ledger with accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze variances such as purchase price differences and work order variances to support cost control.
• Assist with inventory costing activities and maintain related data within the ERP system.
• Support internal and external audits, including SOX testing and annual financial reviews.

• Apply cost and inventory accounting expertise within a manufacturing environment.
• Maintain eligibility to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
• Leverage strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to support accounting operations.
• Adapt to public company processes and reporting requirements when applicable.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in public or private industry.
• Demonstrate experience working within medium to large accounting environments.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to perform financial analysis and reporting.
• Apply knowledge of ERP systems and fixed asset software to support accounting functions.
