Audit/Tax Manager
Novogradac & Company LLP is searching for an Audit/Tax Manager to join our fast‑growing firm. The Manager will manage a variety of tax, audit and other assignments as designated by the Principal or Partner. The Manager should function with minimal supervision.
Work arrangements: remote or hybrid is available depending on business needs. Discuss options with recruiter.
Responsibilities- Lead client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing, technical issues and decisions.
- Oversee engagement completion and resolve problem areas with minimal oversight.
- Conduct thorough engagement reviews.
- Supervise and mentor staff, senior accountants and supervisors, guiding technical areas and professional development.
- Complete annual performance evaluations and manage performance conversations.
- Assist principals and partners with identifying, meeting and pursuing new clients.
- Find opportunities to turn technical knowledge into high value‑added opportunities.
- Promote the firm’s image by participating on conference panels, contributing to firm publications, attending recruiting events, conducting in‑house and client trainings.
- Develop, strengthen and grow client relationships.
- Enhance skills in the industries the firm focuses on by seeking out and completing training courses.
- Increase office profitability by managing time effectively and contributing ideas.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5‑8 years of experience in public accounting and/or appropriate balance of education and work experience.
- CPA license required.
- Experience with affordable housing, low income housing tax credits (LIHTC), opportunity zones, renewable energy tax credits, historic tax credits, HUD, NMTC, real estate, developers, partnerships, public housing authority, community development finance institutions (CDFI), single audit, uniform guidance, cost segregation, no‑loss bond, home programs, etc. (any not mandatory).

- Availability for evenings, weekends and domestic travel if required.

- Compensation: $121,000 – $161,000 depending on experience. More is possible if experience dictates.
