About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable expertise to join a dynamic finance team. This hybrid role combines AP and AR responsibilities, along with general accounting support, in a fast-paced environment.

About You

You are a responsive, detail-driven accounting professional with 5–10+ years of experience in private accounting or internal finance roles. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy variety in your work, and take pride in being organized and dependable. You work well with direct, results-oriented leadership and value efficiency, professionalism, and clear communication. You’re collaborative, adaptable, and maintain a positive, solutions-focused approach, even when priorities shift.

Technical expertise in Quick Books Enterprise and Concur is essential. Familiarity with entertainment, production, or media industries is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendor invoices for accuracy, authorization, and coding via Concur and Quick Books Enterprise
  • Audit and process employee expense reports for compliance with corporate policies and IRS guidelines
  • Reconcile and document company credit card transactions
  • Handle year-end functions including 1099 processing and sales tax reporting
  • Prepare and maintain AP-related general ledger reconciliations
  • Post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications

Accounts Receivable:

  • Manage full AR cycle: invoice creation, billing adjustments, credit memos, and payment application
  • Oversee high-volume billing and future months tracking on complex Excel worksheets
  • Monitor aging reports, resolve discrepancies, and drive timely collections
  • Prepare weekly/monthly AR performance reports, including aging summaries and cash flow projections
  • Provide insights on customer payment behavior and billing patterns
  • Develop and refine AR policies to improve billing accuracy, reduce aging, and streamline internal workflows

General Accounting & Administration:

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate schedules and reports
  • Support revenue leadership with insights on customer payment behavior and billing patterns
  • Assist with general office administration duties (small office)
  • Identify and correct variances, errors, or inconsistencies
  • Other accounting tasks as assigned by the Department Lead
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 5–10+ years of combined AP/AR experience
  • Strong understanding of intermediate accounting/bookkeeping (“debits and credits”)
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition rules for media contracts is a plus
  • Proficiency in Quick Books Enterprise, Concur, and client portals
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, complex worksheets)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a hybrid environment
  • Must maintain confidentiality and work well independently and in a team setting
