Accounts Payable Trainee
Salary: $4,442.00 – $5,296.00 per month.

The Accounting Operations section is recruiting a motivated self‑starter for the Accountant Trainee level within the Accounts Payable Unit. As a learner, the Accountant Trainee will review, audit, and process invoice payments for purchases made by the Lottery, prepare claim schedules for the Office Revolving Fund, and process and post month‑to‑month, quarterly, and year‑end accruals and reconciliations for the financial statements.
Requirements- Current Accountant Trainee exam (expiry or missing requires retaking).
- Minimum qualifications as defined in the Classification Specification, including relevant education and experience.
- Desirable qualifications: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of GAAP; independent and team work ability; strong customer service skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; experience with full accrual accounting.
Hybrid telework and in‑office schedule (2–3 days a week). Employees must be able to report to the headquarters office as assigned.
Location700 North 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811. Telework is available for candidates residing in California.
