Staff Accountant

We are a growing multi-location organization seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays a critical role in managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Processing, and Account Reconciliations while helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting daily business operations.

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.

• Review invoices for approvals and supporting documentation.

• Prepare ACH payments, checks, and electronic payments.

• Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.

• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments.

• Generate customer invoices and statements.

• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate records.

• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.

• Research and resolve billing discrepancies.

• Reconcile AR accounts and customer balances.

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.

• Maintain payroll records and employee data.

• Verify time records, deductions, and benefit information.

• Assist employees with payroll-related questions.

• Ensure confidentiality of payroll information.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions.

• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.

• Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting schedules.

• Maintain organized records for audits and compliance.

• Support management with special projects and financial reporting.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or payroll experience.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

• Payroll processing experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
