Branch Administrator
The Branch Administrator will proactively provide administrative and clerical support for the overall operation. This position is based in Boston, MA in supporting the Boston Public Schools location/contract.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive compensation package of minimum $21.00/hour – maximum $22.53/hour
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Full‑time work—doesn’t follow the school schedule
- Holidays: 8 standard – varies by location and year.

- Verifies hours and responds to basic inquiries related to work hours.
- Assists with and filing Drivers’ route information.
- Enters data from various sources to maintain and update various databases and spreadsheets. Ensures data integrity by verifying input and calculations.
- Types, files, reports, develops spreadsheets, manages databases and performs other related clerical tasks for the department or team.
- Maintains organized computer and/or hard copy files for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintains inventory of departmental office supplies.
- Posts Driver notifications.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- At least one year of experience in general office practices and procedures, preferably 3 years.
- HS Diploma or equivalent required, some form of higher education preferred, but not required.
- Able to multitask with conflicting priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use departmental software programs.
- Must demonstrate ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal, confidentiality and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
