UC Riverside’s Housing Services is recruiting for a Housing Contracts Coordinator. The full salary range for the Housing Contracts Coordinator is $32.74–$52.32 per hour, with an expected pay scale up to $34.39 per hour. The position is based on education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business needs. The primary role is to provide university students with a successful transition to campus, maintain maximum facility occupancy levels, and meet fiduciary responsibilities.

The Housing Contracts Coordinator (HCC) delivers responsive customer service, applies Housing Services policies and procedures, oversees administrative and financial issues, and serves as the principal liaison with students, families, university offices, external agencies, and the public. The HCC manages application, contracting, assignment, and accounting data for a residential population of approximately 10,000 persons, administers billing and accounts receivable generating over $110 million, advises residents on fiscal matters, coordinates unlawful detainer actions, and participates in outreach events.

Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license, meet local record policies, enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program, and possess current work authorization. The University does not sponsor visas for this staff position.

Requirements Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
Experience Requirements
  • 2–4 years of related experience.
  • Experience working with online systems, databases, and query tools.
  • Experience working with contracts or accounts services.
  • Experience in a high‑volume environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Experience in a customer service environment responding to and meeting the needs of customers.
  • Experience applying University of California policies and laws recommending write‑off of uncollectible debts and resolving delinquent payment problems.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of UC/UCR systems, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Experience in university housing or a similar hospitality environment.
  • Experience with billing and accounts receivables and associated systems.
  • Experience with Star Rez or a similar housing management system.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi‑task with demanding time frames.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, and attention to detail skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to and work collaboratively with diverse populations, including students, faculty, staff, and external constituents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of common organization‑specific and other computer application programs.
