Service Advisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet customers upon arrival at the shop.
• Determine the reason for the customer’s visit through verbal interview and visual assessment of the vehicle.
• Connect customers with the appropriate automotive mechanic or technician.
• Consult with mechanics regarding suitable service options.
• Develop multiple solution methods, aiming to keep costs low.
• Explain all service options to customers, including time and cost estimates.
• Provide detailed information on original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part options.
• Advise customers on warranty protections and other potential cost-saving service options.
• Track maintenance or repair status and document labor and service costs.
• Perform post-service inspections with customers and address any questions.
• Handle customer transactions at the front desk.
• Perform customer service duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and notifying customers when their vehicles are ready for pickup.
• Manage shop workflow and schedule for mechanics and technicians.
