Position and ClassificationAutomotive Program Representative – Classification number: JC-485605
Duties- Perform undercover vehicle documentation within a Forensic Documentation Laboratory, including inspection of automotive components and reporting their condition.
- Determine that components and vehicle systems are functioning within manufacturer specifications.
- Research technical specifications and testing procedures contained in various manufacturers’ technical resources.
- Drive a transporter and deliver the undercover vehicle during the investigation, including loading and unloading vehicles.
- Perform post‑investigation inspection, document results, and prepare a report.
- Provide expert court testimony as an expert witness for Bureau Investigations.
- Maintain the undercover vehicle fleet.
- Minimum qualifications detailed in the Class Specification. Candidates must meet these requirements.
- Desirable qualifications include:
- Knowledge of equipment and methods used in the maintenance and repair of automotive equipment.
- Ability to operate tools used in automotive repair, inspect automotive equipment, purchase parts and materials, keep accurate records, reconcile and report.
- Cooperative teamwork, efficient work, punctuality, professionalism, courteous behavior.
- Ability to analyze information, make competent and timely decisions.
- Independent work with minimal supervision.
- Computer proficiency for daily tasks.
- Positive attitude, highly motivated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
