Position: Agency Partner Manager – US
Location: California

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BD Manager) with deep knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem and strong connections with Shopify‑focused agencies. This role will be instrumental in building and scaling our agency partner program, driving mutual growth through co‑marketing, referrals, and strategic collaboration.

As an early member of our North America BD team, you’ll shape our partner strategy, identify high‑potential agency relationships, and create win–win opportunities that strengthen our market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a portfolio of Shopify‑focused agencies (email/SMS, loyalty, CRO, paid media, design/build agencies, etc.).
  • Develop a structured partner program with clear tiers, benefits, and incentives.
  • Drive referrals and co‑selling opportunities through agency partnerships.
  • Execute co‑marketing activities with agencies, including webinars, events, playbooks, and case studies.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Shopify ecosystem trends, competitors, and agency business models.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to maximize value from partnerships.
  • Track partnership performance with clear KPIs (referrals, pipeline influence, revenue contribution).
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Account Management in SaaS or eCommerce.
  • Established network within Shopify and e‑commerce agency communities.
  • Strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem and proven experience working with Shopify‑focused agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow agency/partner programs.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑starter with a growth mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.
