Role: Senior Director of Sales •
Location: California

I am currently partnered exclusively with a leading Personal Care Contract Manufacturer, specialising in liquid fill and packaging manufacturing. We are currently in search for an experienced Sales professional with experience in the Personal Care Contract Manufacturing industry.

This is a hybrid position, looking to onboard ASAP.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record in the beauty and personal care industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing major accounts and conducting high-level negotiations.
  • Must be experienced with product development and packaging.
  • Must be a strong leader, responsible for driving growth in a sales team of 5+ individuals.
  • Deep knowledge of the cosmetic sector and trends, leveraging this understanding in strategic planning and execution.
Responsibilities
  • Client relationship management of existing and new clients.
  • Strategically grow the client base, screening high value accounts and building long-term relationships.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to clients, negotiate and close deals, and ensure on-time delivery of samples, quotes and orders.
  • Drive innovation and influence product development strategies.
  • Stay up to date with recent cosmetic/personal care industry trends.
  • Familiarity with global markets and an understanding of international business practices within the cosmetics industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally, to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Spearhead the exploration and cultivation of new business opportunities, using market analytics to guide product development and drive innovation.
  • Mentor and lead the sales team, fostering a culture of success, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Set performance standards, evaluate progress, and provide ongoing development opportunities.
  • Oversee the integration of sales operations with other departments, ensuring seamless delivery of client commitments.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on sales forecasts, market conditions, and financial performance to senior management.
  • Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and refine sales strategies.
  • Manage and expand existing accounts while establishing new accounts by planning and organising daily work schedules.
  • Address and resolve complex customer issues, establishing protocols to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service by coordinating with Project Managers and other departments on client projects.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance corporate visibility and market influence.
  • Lead complex negotiations, manage extended sales cycles, and close deals with key accounts to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Initiate and direct market research efforts to identify new business development opportunities and recommend strategies for market penetration.
