The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for accurately processing, monitoring, and reporting the organization’s inventory levels to ensure optimal product availability while minimizing costs. This role follows established guidelines to manage all aspects of physical inventory, including analysis, reconciliation, and reporting. The Inventory Coordinator collaborates with multiple departments—such as procurement, manufacturing, and warehouse operations—to maintain accurate inventory records. Key responsibilities include generating daily inventory reports, resolving transaction discrepancies, and ensuring system accuracy in compliance with finance and organizational standards.
EssentialFunctions
- Carry out cycle counts and data analytics, research, and response for variances.
- Scrutinize and analyze inventory issues and apply LEAN methods to prepare recommendations for policy/process improvements related to inventory tracking and accuracy.
- Responsible for analyzing data and generating monthly dashboards/reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Coordinating with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Work cross‑functionally, becoming a subject‑matter‑expert in multiple areas of each department.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2 years of related experience in a warehouse/Manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Warehouse Management System is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle application system is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with databases and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of retail, distribution and Manufacturing center operations.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Macros, Filters, V‑Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime when required/some weekends.
- Ability to follow directions and multi‑task.
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $49,000 USD – $60,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based sales incentive plan.
