Hours:
7:00 am – 3:30 pm
This position has a district-wide impact which affects the operation of individual buildings and schools. Duties, responsibilities, and work hours are subject to change according to the needs of the district. Must maintain a positive and productive working relationship with all district employees. Safety codes and policies, electrical codes, and environmental policies must be maintained to avoid the creation of unsafe conditions that may lead to injuries to students, staff, and the public.
Qualifications- Must be a high school graduate or have obtained a GED
- Demonstrated excellent job performance and attendance
- Prefer three to five (3-5) years’ progressive experience in the carpentry field
- Acquire and maintain Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Certification
- Possess and maintain minimum Missouri Class E driver’s license or equivalent accompanied by an excellent driving record
- Self-motivated and able to work overtime if needed
- Able to prioritize duties in a changing environment and meet deadlines
Possess the ability to be a team player - Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to relate to a diverse student population, staff, administration, workforce, contractors, and suppliers
- Must be computer literate and be familiar with work order systems, word processing, spreadsheets and scheduling computer software
- Work in a supportive manner with building administration and staff
- Able to understand and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
