About this Role

The Behavioral Health Expansion Branch (BHEB) in the Community Services Division administers the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) grant and the Behavioral Health Infrastructure Bond Act of 2024 (BHIBA). These initiatives fund the construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation of facilities and infrastructure to expand community continuum behavioral‑health treatment resources. The Analyst II, under the direction of Supervisor I, develops, operationalizes, and administers tasks related to BHCIP and BHIBA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing, administering, overseeing, and evaluating BHCIP and BHIBA programs.
  • Performing performance oversight and monitoring of contractors and grant‑funded projects to ensure compliance with contracts, plans, and agreements.
  • Generating policies and procedures, and providing technical assistance, training, and administrative support as needed.

This position is subject to DHCS' Conflict of Interest Code and requires filing a Statement of Economic Interests.

Working Conditions

Telework eligibility: up to three days per week, with a minimum of two in‑person days required. Business travel may be required (25% of the time) and may include overnight stays up to four consecutive nights.
