Construction Director

Construction Director – US, California – Permanent Contract

Our client is a provider of essential infrastructure. They own, develop and manage high quality, sustainable logistics properties and data centres in major global cities that are critical to the digital economy. Since 2005 they have grown to become a large owner of powered sites globally.

• Oversee the full cycle of data centre construction projects, from site selection and initial due diligence through design, permitting, ground‑up construction, commissioning, and handover to operations.
• Estimate and establish budgets for project design and construction.
• Engage and issue contracts to design professionals, consultants, coordinators, and contractors, using approved contract forms for the work.
• Ensure all work is performed per the requirements of the contract and deliverables are complete.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is strongly preferred.
• Extensive construction and real estate development experience with data centre, mission critical projects and management positions.
• Demonstrated experience managing the construction of substations, switching centers, and other high‑voltage electrical infrastructure for data centres or similar mission‑critical facilities.
• Must be experienced and proficient in public speaking. Bi‑lingual in Spanish is a plus.
