Our client is seeking a Superintendent to lead the final phase of a high-profile Public Works renovation project. With a substantial portion of the budget dedicated to seismic retrofits, infrastructure upgrades, and interior modernization, this position requires a proven leader who can ensure successful delivery of a complex, community‑impacting project.
The Superintendent will manage field operations, subcontractors, and the project schedule to maintain safety, quality, and budget, while coordinating with architects, engineers, and public‑sector stakeholders.
Project Snapshot- Total Budget: $60M
- Location: Southern California
- Compensation: Up to $180,000 annually
- Direct and oversee all field operations for the final phase of a major civic renovation.
- Manage subcontractors, trades, and field staff to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Coordinate phased construction activities in an active civic environment with minimal disruption to public services.
- Lead seismic retrofit and infrastructure upgrades in compliance with California building codes.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and public‑sector stakeholders to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring milestones are achieved.
- Champion safety culture and enforce site‑wide compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Serve as the primary on‑site leader, representing the project to officials, inspectors, and the community.
- Experience: 10+ years as a Superintendent on public or institutional projects valued at $50M+.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in seismic retrofits, phased construction, and infrastructure modernization.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams, subcontractors, and complex schedules.
- Communication: Skilled at coordinating with public‑sector agencies, inspectors, and community stakeholders.
- Problem‑Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges and implement proactive solutions under tight deadlines.
