Functions in our group include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, startup and decommissioning, and field engineering. This role is accountable for assuring availability of solar civil resources with the proper expertise and tools to support assigned construction project execution and the success of the civil scope construction project execution. This role requires travel.

• Provide civil support for national solar construction projects.
• Direct administration and training of solar construction civil personnel for national construction projects.
• Develop standard operating procedures for construction execution that minimize cost and duration of construction activities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report civil performance of assigned construction projects to the Solar Operations Manager.
• Provide recommendations to the Solar Operations Manager regarding project civil staff assignments/teams.
• Act as liaison between construction and engineering for all civil‑related matters.
• Ensure all Construction Projects meet the Client specified civil quality standards.
• Support site Civil Superintendents in developing SOPs, man‑load and equipment‑load schedules (fragnet schedules), staging plans, bill of materials, and quality control plans.
• Lead weekly civil superintendent calls to discuss safety, quality, productivity, and resource needs.
• Establish and maintain relationships and develop a high level of trust and credibility with key clients, alliance partners, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Communicate lessons learned. Review project Budget/Unit Rates with assigned superintendent and determine if in line with company earning rules. Coordinate and track civil equipment assignments with site teams and CEFs and maintain spreadsheet for updates.
• Direct corrective action for civil discipline problems or poor performance. Keep the Department and Human Resources Department involved and informed as required.
• Enforce and interpret division and department policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards as applicable to duties and accountabilities.
• Identify and assess improvement opportunities which will add value. Champion continuous improvement efforts. Support, encourage and facilitate staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.
• Travel to support sites when and where needed.

• 8+ years of construction supervisory experience within the solar construction industry.
• 8+ years of experience in solar civil construction.
• Solar construction experience required.
• Field environmental controls experience.
• Minimum software capability requirements: MS Word, MS Excel.

Bachelor’s degree in construction or heavy industrial experience preferred, or relevant experience. 3+ years of construction management experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, which may include a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
