Construction Superintendent – Luxury Retail (Los Angeles, CA)

Position Overview: The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day construction of all site work from award to project completion, including the daily activities of subcontractors and vendors. They will ensure high standards of quality and safety in a timely and professional manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Able to read and understand plans, specifications, and scopes of work for all retail/residential projects.
• Review general contract to identify changes or conflicts that need addressing.
• Oversee physical construction of the project.
• Manage all subcontractors; track performance and adherence to schedule.
• Answer all on‑site project questions; maintain project housekeeping and safety, enforcing proper PPE.
• Coordinate with Purchasing Department and Project Team to prepare schedules and ensure timely documentation and purchasing.
• Maintain transparent communication with the Project Team.
• Prepare daily reports, photo reports, job diaries and other required documents.
• Update Procore daily.
• Facilitate and manage toolbox meetings with subcontractors and share field progress reports.
• Oversee quality control to meet company and OSHA standards.
• Prepare punch lists and close‑out projects.
• Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of related experience or equivalent education, training, and/or experience.
• Superintendent license (plus).
• OSHA 30‑hour, OSHA 10‑hour, or equivalent safety training.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Sage (plus). Experience with Procore (plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate a variety of personnel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with individuals at all levels.
• Thorough understanding of construction legal requirements and quality building practices.
• Ability to quickly identify and solve problems.

Physical Requirements:

• Must navigate all construction site areas in all weather.
• Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
