Cochran's Wentzville, Missouri location is seeking an Engineering Technician/ Construction Inspector to join our team.
Who are we looking for? The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of prior experience or general knowledge of standard construction practices. Prior experience is not mandatory, as we are willing to train on the job. The technician/inspector performs or assists in field tests and observations of construction materials, including concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregate, as well as storm and sanitary structures and pipe bedding procedures.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of prior experience preferred but not required
- ACI Concrete Field Testing-Grad I preferred
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Proficiency in operating handheld tablets or other technical devices
- Willingness to assist with any tasks assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in field environments in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
