Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with specialized expertise in drywall project estimating to lead our commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role requires a seasoned professional who can accurately forecast costs, manage complex schedules, and drive projects to successful delivery.

Experience:

• 7+ years of direct experience in drywall project estimating and management
• Proven track record managing commercial drywall projects valued at $500K+
• Deep understanding of drywall installation methods, materials, and industry standards

Technical

Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in construction estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Plan Swift, or similar)
• Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and construction documents
• Strong understanding of building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements
• Ability to perform accurate material takeoffs and labor hour calculations

Core Competencies:

• Comprehensive knowledge of drywall systems including metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and specialty finishes
• Experience managing subcontractor relationships and vendor negotiations
• Strong financial acumen including cost control and budget management
• Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with clients, architects, and project teams

• Develop detailed cost estimates for drywall scope including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead
• Review project plans and specifications to identify scope, potential issues, and value engineering opportunities
• Lead preconstruction meetings and coordinate with general contractors and design teams
• Manage project schedules, ensuring timely procurement and coordinating with other trades
• Oversee project execution, quality control, and adherence to safety standards
• Track project costs, manage change orders, and maintain profitability targets
• Mentor junior estimators and project coordinators

• Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• LEED certification or experience with sustainable building practices
• Experience with union labor environments
• Familiarity with design-build or IPD project delivery methods
