Position: Construction Estimator

Clockwork Construction Inc, is a growing construction company that offers both Construction Management and General Contractor services to our clients. We specialize in commercial construction as well as restaurant remodels, new-builds, conversion, and office TI work. The selected candidate will have a strong list of clients/industry contacts and will be responsible for and have the following qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• Find and solicit bids from existing clients as well as generate new accounts and leads
• Using previously built connections to increase the number of projects being estimated on a monthly and annual basis
• Perform site-walk, develops cost estimates including materials and labor, develop preliminary schedules to predict project duration, and assist in securing contracts
• Work with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and the Clockwork team to successfully produce proposals in a timely manner, meeting all bid schedules and deadlines
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors, suppliers and subcontractor
• Assist Project Managers in writing contracts and the creation of change orders
• Review project specifications to understand the scope of the project and assist in determination of whether to pursue the project
• Perform take-offs from provided plans and develop trade-specific scopes of work

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in construction, primarily in estimating
• Experience estimating projects where key trades are performed with in-house labor
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications and have understanding of current building codes
• Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to pass pre-employment testing
• Experience working with architects and taking projects from concept through turn over to project management team
• Strong PC and technical skills including Word, Outlook, Excel
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented
• Travel required as necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detailed understanding of construction procedures and materials and project management principles
• Commercial and Restaurant specific experience preferred

Compensation
:
Salary DOE plus variable bonuses based upon company and individual performance
