The Concrete Paving Estimator is responsible for developing competitive estimates for concrete paving projects, including highways, municipal roads, intersections, paving rehabilitation, and related concrete construction work.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Review paving plans, specifications, and bid requirements.
* Complete detailed quantity takeoffs for pavement, curb and gutter, barriers, sidewalks, and miscellaneous concrete items.
* Develop production-based cost estimates for paving crews and equipment.
* Coordinate pricing for concrete materials, trucking, and subcontractors.
* Analyze constructability, sequencing, and production risks.
* Assist with bid strategy, estimate reviews, and project turnover.
* Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate production assumptions.
** Preferred Experience
*** Heavy highway concrete paving experience.
* Understanding of paving operations, slip-form paving, and concrete production.
* Familiarity with MoDOT & KDOT paving specifications.
* Experience estimating self-performed concrete work.
