Location: Township of Columbia

The Concrete Paving Estimator is responsible for developing competitive estimates for concrete paving projects, including highways, municipal roads, intersections, paving rehabilitation, and related concrete construction work.

Key Responsibilities

Review paving plans, specifications, and bid requirements.
Complete detailed quantity takeoffs for pavement, curb and gutter, barriers, sidewalks, and miscellaneous concrete items.
Develop production-based cost estimates for paving crews and equipment.
Coordinate pricing for concrete materials, trucking, and subcontractors.
Analyze constructability, sequencing, and production risks.
Assist with bid strategy, estimate reviews, and project turnover.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate production assumptions.

Preferred Experience

Heavy highway concrete paving experience.
Understanding of paving operations, slip-form paving, and concrete production.
Familiarity with MoDOT & KDOT paving specifications.
Experience estimating self-performed concrete work.
