Performing Arts Roles/ Dance Instructor
Location: Louisiana
Liminal Dance Labs, a professional training and performance hub in the East Bay, is seeking passionate and skilled Dance Teachers to join our growing faculty. We’re currently hiring instructors across multiple styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, tap, pom/game day, and high school dance-team prep (and more), to teach dancers ages 4–18.
Liminal’s programs blend technical precision with creative exploration, serving dancers who want to train competitively and non-competitively. Our mission is to cultivate artistry, confidence, and resilience through movement education that honors both discipline and individuality. Our programs are holistic, encompassing both mind and body, and rooted in somatic principles.
Weekday and weekend teaching opportunities are available beginning January 2026.
Responsibilities- Teach classes and rehearsals with professionalism, positivity, and energy
- Provide a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students
- Develop engaging lessons that balance technique, artistry, and conditioning
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members
- Monitor student progress and offer constructive, growth-oriented feedback
- Choreograph for performances and competitions (as applicable)
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to Liminal’s collaborative studio culture
- 2+ years of teaching experience (competition or team experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of training progression and age-appropriate development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor dancers of all levels
- Reliable, organized, and committed to Liminal’s mission of empowering dancers through education and creativity
