About the Role

The Fragrance Developer leads the creative and technical development of scents across both core and limited-edition product lines. You’ll serve as a key link between fragrance houses, R&D, and brand teams to ensure each fragrance meets aesthetic, performance, and stability standards.

This role balances creative vision with executional excellence — managing fragrance evaluations, leading DTC Limited Edition and flavor projects, and driving core scent expansions within existing bases.

You’ll work closely with the Sr. Fragrance Developer and cross-functional partners (R&D, Product, Marketing, and Operations) to help bring high-quality, consumer-loved scents to life across our product portfolio.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $70,000 to $85,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

  • Capture fragrance and ingredient market trends to support product innovation
  • Maintain detailed fragrance tracking sheets, feedback logs, and development timelines
  • Manage and organize the internal fragrance and flavor library, ensuring samples are labeled, stored, and documented accurately
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management
  • Track project milestones and assist with cross-functional handoffs to ensure fragrance timelines on schedule
  • Partner with Product Strategy and Marketing on storytelling and naming alignment for new scents and flavors
  • Troubleshoot in response to overall development issues with Manager and cross-functional teams; start to identify possible solutions
About You
  • Approximately 2 years of experience in fragrance, product development, or related beauty/personal care work – including internships or project experience – is highly preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Google Workspace; experience with  or similar project management tools a plus
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
  • Curious, creative, and collaborative — you’re passionate about learning the art and science of fragrance development
What You'll Gain
  • Opportunity to lead creative fragrance development across multiple categories
  • Exposure to the product development lifecycle from concept to launch
  • A chance to shape the olfactive identity of a growing and incremental brand
  • Mentorship from a Sr. Fragrance Developer
