First Alert 4 / ABC 32 in St. Louis is looking for a senior reporter who leads the market. This is not a job for beginners — the ideal candidate has 10+ years of reporting experience, preferably in a medium or large market. This is the station to work at in the St. Louis market if you want to grow and be part of a growing team that recently added ABC programming to the lineup.

• Lead the market with high-impact reporting that has other stations following up the next day
• Adapt quickly to breaking news; own the big story on linear TV, streaming, and digital
• Develop high-caliber sources that consistently break major stories
• Come ready as a self-starter with bulletproof story pitches every day
• Strong digital execution across web, social, and streaming — digital is a must
• Understand the St. Louis audience; tap into real people for real stories
• Master the follow-up: turn one story into ten over days and weeks
• Anchor shows as needed; work with experienced journalists
• Contribute enterprise reporting across all platforms
• Great attitude; contribute to a positive culture of teamwork

• At least 10 years of reporting experience, preferably in a medium or large market
• Understands the complexity of covering news in a constantly changing market like St. Louis
• Proven high-impact/enterprise reporting with strong source network
• Self-starter with daily story pitches; strong breaking-news skills
• Excellent digital execution (web, social, streaming)
• Able to anchor as needed
• Flexible schedule; willing to work flexible hours as needed
• Great attitude and team collaboration
