Summary

The Teller I will be responsible for daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive-up locations of the branch. This entry‑level position also delivers outstanding customer service, develops and maintains client relationships, and identifies referral opportunities for additional Retail products and other lines of business.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide customer account services by receiving deposits and loan payments, cashing checks, issuing savings withdrawals, recording night and mail deposits, and selling cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks, and savings bonds.
  • Answer customer questions in person and/or on the telephone.
  • Record customer account transactions by logging cashier checks, traveler’s checks, and other special services; prepare currency transaction reports.
  • Cross‑sell bank products by answering inquiries; inform customers of new services and product promotions; ascertain customer needs; direct customers to a branch representative.
  • Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions; count and package currency and coins; maintain a supply of cash and currency.
  • Comply with bank operations and security procedures by maintaining customer confidentiality and protecting bank operations.
  • Improve teller job knowledge by attending training sessions.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a cash handling role preferred.
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
