Location: California

Transdev in San Francisco, CA is hiring a Dispatch Clerk to oversee road service through communication with Operators and provide customer support to the clients. We are seeking friendly, customer service‑oriented people who are dedicated to safety.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • $22.25 – $23.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
  • Starting pay $22.25 with progression to $23.00 over 1 year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, on‑time route starts, performance, incidents, etc.
  • Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
  • Comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed established performance requirements.
  • Document trip authorizations and details including transportation type, pickup times, appointment times, and addresses.
  • Follow rules and regulations of the Company; follow instructions of management and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Maintain confidentiality of passengers’ information.
  • Maintain a clean and well‑organized work area.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate standard telephone system.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facilities.
  • Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
