• Lead, work with, and coordinate an architectural/engineering team in designing a variety of project typologies with a focus on transportation and civic projects.
• Design, develop, and coordinate the initial design and continue with the detailed phases of project development, requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines, clients, and consultants.
• Prepare architectural plans and other design and presentation materials, supervise their execution, and perform analysis of design and construction systems.
• Conduct site and construction inspections for information gathering, preparing interpretive reports, and execute code analysis, material selections, and technical solutions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, plan, schedule, and manage the work by leading internal teams and representing the project with clients and other stakeholders.

• Professional degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch preferred).
• Current California licensure required.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience as an Architectural Designer.
• Transit experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Experience in Rhino, 3‑D Max, Sketch‑up is a plus and LEED Accreditation is also a plus.

• Determine collectively with multiple design disciplines the technical approach and design criteria for projects.
• Work with staff as the architectural lead in a team.
• Develop and/or oversee the development of design details, plans, and specifications.
• Use computer software as a design tool for solving complex architectural problems.
• Contribute new designs or techniques that are of material significance in solving important problems.
• Remain current in codes and technologies appropriate to the architecture discipline, including IBC, NFPA, etc.
• Ensure conformance with standards, established architectural practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
