Overview
We’re seeking an Associate UX Director to craft user-centered, high-impact digital experiences across web, mobile, AR/VR, and emerging platforms for our healthcare clients. This role combines design craft, technology, and storytelling to deliver functional, visually refined solutions aligned with brand and campaign goals. The role will support our GSW Santa Monica office so must be willing to work PST hours.
Key Responsibilities- Design complete digital experiences including navigation, UI components, and visual systems.
- Translate strategy into wireframes, prototypes, and design system components.
- Develop interactive concepts, animations, and motion-based solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and copy teams for seamless integration.
- Test and iterate designs for usability, scalability, and engagement.
- Maintain component libraries and ensure design consistency.
- Present creative work and articulate design rationale to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch; proficiency in animation/prototyping tools (Principle, Lottie, etc.).
- 4+ years of experience in digital/experience design.
- 2+ years at a healthcare advertising agency.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience with responsive design, accessibility standards, and component libraries.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools (Midjourney, ChatGPT, etc.) a plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX, motion design, and digital experiences (healthcare experience preferred).
- Strong interactive and digital engagement thinking, with the ability to transform complex healthcare concepts into elegant, user-friendly experiences.
- Experience designing for healthcare professionals and patient/consumer audiences, translating medical and scientific information into clear visual communication.
- Proficient at balancing creativity with regulatory and brand compliance.
