Gigawatts Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our products, ensuring that our solutions are not only functional but also deliver exceptional value to our customers. You will take charge of the entire design process, from conducting user research and creating wireframes to prototyping and finalizing design specifications.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and product management to create products that reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability in the electric industry. Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of user-centered products by translating user needs and business goals into effective design solutions.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that clearly convey design intent.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure alignment between design and functionality.
  • Stay updated on design trends and technologies, integrating best practices into the design process.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on design methodologies and tools.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, articulating the value of design decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the technology or energy sectors.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful product design projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or equivalent software.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex design challenges.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
