Foster + Partners is seeking a talented Architect with 7-10 years experience,
licensed in California
, to join our Los Angeles studio. As a leader in innovative, sustainable design, we are looking for an individual with a passion for architecture and a strong collaborative spirit to contribute to transformative projects locally and globally.
The ideal candidate must have extensive professional experience and demonstrate exceptional design skills, technical knowledge, and project delivery capabilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in our continued pursuit of architectural excellence across our diverse portfolio.
Responsibilities- Understand the design project and be able to direct complete design phases and documentations whilst monitoring adherence to project and code requirements
- Substantial experience in preparing, and developing drawings, models, images and other documents relating to the design and take responsibility for technical efforts to deliver accurate and complete set of project documents including design support at all design stages
- Assist where required in the co‑ordination of the internal design team and demonstrate strong management and communication skills
- Take responsibility, where required by the project leader, for specific areas of the design and project development
- Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and good knowledge of code and code limitations.
- Liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organisations or companies
- Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities
- Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
- Ability to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
- Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
- Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent
- Understanding of the Architects role in the co‑ordination and integration of project information and management
- Ability to assist with the management of junior assistant architects on the team
- Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget
- Proven efficiency in the use of Revit/BIM
- Ability to use some of the following:
Micro Station, Photo Shop, Illustrator, InDesign, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
