We are seeking a Nephrologist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Sep 22, 2025. This role primarily involves outpatient care with some inpatient duties, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The position promises a dynamic environment with a comprehensive support system, including dedicated kidney RNs and full consultative backing from hospitalists and surgical teams.

    Monday-Friday, split shifts from 8:30-12:30 and 1:30-5:30

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide comprehensive nephrology care in an outpatient setting, handling around 13 clinic patients per day.
  • Manage a range of conditions including chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and glomerular diseases.
  • Oversee and consult on inpatient care for 15-20 patients, with support for higher patient counts.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists, interventional radiologists, and surgical specialists.
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for accurate patient documentation and management.
Additional Information
  • Board Certification in Nephrology required.
  • Must hold a valid medical license in California.
  • Ideal candidates will be comfortable managing both outpatient and inpatient cases.
  • Experience with dialysis patient management and vendor coordination is beneficial.
