Geisinger Medical Center – Janet Weis Children’s Hospital is seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Division Director of Pediatric Neurology. This exceptional opportunity leads a nationally recognized division committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research for 10 physician providers and 3 advanced practitioners.

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Pediatric Neurology Division.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that promotes innovation, excellence, and professional development.
• Lead recruitment, retention, and mentorship of faculty and staff.

• Ensure delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Oversee subspecialty programs including epilepsy, headache, neuromuscular disorders, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and sleep.
• Expand access to care through outreach, telemedicine, and partnerships.

• Direct educational programs for medical students and residents in the Child Neurology Residency Program.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional standards.
• Promote faculty engagement in teaching and mentorship.

• Support and grow research initiatives.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and funding opportunities.
• Promote scholarly productivity and national visibility of the division.

• Manage division operations including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
• Represent the division in departmental and institutional leadership forums.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification in Pediatric Neurology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Academic credentials commensurate with an Associate or Full Professor appointment.
• Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania.

• Minimum of five years of clinical and/or leadership experience in an academic medical center.
• Demonstrated success in program development, faculty mentorship, and strategic planning.
• Strong record of scholarly achievement.
